Irrigation Repair in Gilbert, AZ
Desert Pro Irrigation serves Gilbert with sprinkler repair, drip repair, leak detection, valve work and smart timer installation. Gilbert's master-planned neighborhoods often mix grass backyards with drip-watered front yards, so we check both systems, fix what's broken and set schedules that change with the seasons.
What irrigation setups are common in Gilbert?
Many homes run sprinklers for backyard grass and drip for front-yard desert plants, often on one controller. Each type needs its own schedule.
Does Gilbert offer irrigation rebates?
Gilbert lists a smart irrigation controller rebate of up to $250 per household and a residential grass removal rebate, first come, first served. Source: Town of Gilbert. Rules and funding change, so confirm on the official page before you buy anything or remove grass.
When should I change my watering schedule in Gilbert?
Change it with the seasons. AMWUA recommends adjusting irrigation frequency at least four times a year, and in summer it advises avoiding watering between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. (AMWUA). Our Arizona watering guide has typical frequencies.
How do monsoon storms affect irrigation in Gilbert?
Summer monsoon storms bring wind, debris and sudden heavy rain. Afterward, check for heads knocked out of line, clogged filters and drip lines pulled loose, and skip watering after a good soaking. UA Extension guidance suggests skipping the next interval after a half inch or more of rain (UA Cooperative Extension, PDF).
What is caliche and why does it matter?
Caliche is a hard, cement-like soil layer common in the Phoenix area. It slows drainage, so water can pool around roots or run off, and it makes digging for repairs slower. Deep, slow watering and well-placed emitters help.
